Similar to what happened around this time last year, Sibley Park was vandalized by unknown assailants last week. They hacked various shrubs and plants, seemingly at random, leaving dead and dying vegetation along the trail/roadside. As happened last year, the resident wildlife has again disappeared. The area has been transformed from one that was teeming with birds, rabbits, coyotes, and raptors to one seemingly devoid of life.

Witnesses have reported seeing several green trucks in the area around the time that the vandalism occurred.

We’re all used to being told that native species are good and invasive species are bad, but is there really such a clear distinction and are the invasive species necessarily bad?

Check out the video here and see what you think.
