Sad news

We are sad to report the recent death of Georgia Wright, beloved board member of Hills Conservation Network for the past several years. She came to HCN after the termination of Save Strawberry Canyon, for which she had served as treasurer probably since its inception. Georgia was an activist, in her own quiet way, in the North Hills community, having served tirelessly and with complete integrity on several boards that protected the neighborhood from the encroachment of developers. In earlier years Georgia had loved hiking with her dog in Strawberry Canyon. She loved nature and and was an inspiration to all of us who knew her and knew of her enduring care for the environment, and her enjoyment of being in the company not only of her many good friends, but also in the company of trees. Georgia was a kind and generous person, an example to all of us who knew her, and we will remember her always.
